I got mine from Blumenthals in OKC. http://www.blumenthalmfg.com
I had them install it since I do not have a shop of my own up here but it did come with a kit and everything needed. And, they used my existing speedo gear that mounts on the outside. If you give them a call. Ask to speak with Monte

What would be the going rate for a used NV4500? I probably need to start calling around the salvage yards. My shifter is buzzing more lately
Does it make any diff on the year of the trans as far as internals?
I could buy a salvage yard trans and then the conversion housing from someone I hope.
Or would it be worth it for now to buy a bearing and seal kit from somebody, who?, for the getrag and run it for awhile yet?

I guess you could buy one from a salvage yard. However, if you go thru Blumenthals, Standard Trans etc. You get an NV4500 complete with the upgraded fully splined mainshaft as well as brass synchros so you dont have to run the high dollar castrol syn oil.

andyr354,
The getrag gets pricey fast and one doesn't really know what all needs to be replaced untill it's apart on the bench. Then you're stuck waiting for more expensive parts. I just built mine and I'm already gatering parts for my core...I'm going right to the 6 speed, but saving money for that means haveing a spare getrag on deck to buy some more time.
