not getting enough fuel??

I think I made have a partially clogged fuel filter (less than 10k on it) or maybe a bad lift pump. The truck runs ok at normal driving speeds but when I floor it at highway speed the boost gauge will jump up to around 23 but then falls back to about 10 with the accelrator still on the floor. Any ideas??

What speed does the boost drop off at? Does it feel like the acceleration drops off?

Well I floored it a couple of times at speeds around 50 to 65 mph. The boost gauge will jump up to about 25 then immediately drop down to around 10. And yes it loses accelleration when it should be climbing. The idling is also got higher. I don't know if that is a related problem or not.

still need help!!

I sure could use some input on this. Like I said, it runs fine around town and on the highway. It just loses boost and acceleration when I floor it. My wife has got to drive it back to Corpus Christi at the end of the week and I sure would like to know what the problem is and get it fixed.

I would go ahead and just change the fuel filter, just in case, if the problem continues than I would start checking fuel pump pressures. unfortunately you need special fittings to check transferpump pressures. let us know if the filter fixes it.
