Not Cool!
Yesterday my air was good and cold. Today the compressor is cycling, but the air is HOT! What could have changed over night???? It's not the CPS because cruise and everything else is working. If the compressor wasn't cycling I would think it was the wire to the compressor clutch or a fuse.... It's already hot here!!!
7000 feet up...may be hot, but probably not humid like it is here. I had the same problem and it was my compressor leaking, which drained off all freon. You may get lucky and have an easy fix though. Someone else will give their .02. Good luck!
Without putting on a set of gauges it would be hard to tell. Low on freon, water in system, clogged dryer, bad TX valve, Is there ice on the evaporater? Mine quit last summer so I converted it over to the new stuff. I put in too much oil and it tends to lock up occasionally. I put in the whole can, 6 ozs, plus I grabbed a can of the stuff that had oil in it, The FSM calls for less. A lot less
The only things not replaced on the wife's, last week, were the evaporator and the dash switch, to the tune of about $1300; but, she will hold 39* all day long, now.
I will freeze her tail out of there, when I replace that silly little vacuum valve with a manual ball-valve.

As I have no A/C equipment, and less A/C knowledge, I took it to a local NAPA car care center.
I checked the prices he charged me against the NAPA store-wide prices available at NAPA website, and he was quite a bit lower for NAPA parts than the prices I could have gotten the same part numbers for at our local NAPA; so, I don't think I got robbed.
There was one hose that can not be found new; so, I had to have it sent off and made to the tune of about $78.
As I already said, the only things not replaced were the evaporator and the dash switch itself.
I did my homework, before taking it in.
I couldn't find a compressor less than $300 rebuilt, and I just went new for around $500.
You have to keep these women happy, no matter the cost.
It sure beats her driving those silly little disposable cars like she used to drive---pure junk.
Not sure if Intercooled is same, but I hook high side up at the fitting by the firewall and the the low side to the fitting that should be on top side of compressor, close to radiator.

Ok, hooked up, found no pressure on high or low side. Put in a can of U/V leak detector, pressure came up. Put in part of another can, turned off the truck and I could hear a leak. Found the high side fitting on the compressor was loose! I cranked it down and my air got cold again.
How do I judge how much oil I need because some definately leaked out.
