Unhappy No Longer a First Genner..

Well, sold the first gen and got myself into a 2004 3500.
I wanted to thank all the guys who have helped me out over the last 9 years here, teaching me about these trucks and helping me keep mine going.
I've learned a lot, and realy feel kinda sad that I need to pretty much start all over again learning about the 3rd Gen's.

I do believe the First Gen guys on DTR are the MOST helpful, friendly and eager to assist each other, people to be found on the net..

I may still stick my head in from time to time, I may not be driving one now, but I aint forgetting everything I've been taught, maybe I can still try to pay a little of it back.
Been fun guys,
Keep the rubber side down!

I have to agree with this 100%. I have pretty much quit participation in forums regarding diesels. The 4th gen guys in general are really unpleasant to deal with on forums.

I understand where youare coming from. I am looking to get rid of some toys too. Wife wants a second kid and i don't think driving will be easy with two car seats in a single cab 5spd.

Yeah, same here. We're touching on the kid thing, don't have any but we want them. I think we're going to get a SUV. She's been looking, her car isn't the best. I keep dumping new parts into it and now the transmission has a grind.

As pour lives grow, our priorities change
When my kids came along, it was goodbye to my jeeps.
Now it's grand kids and goodbye to my 1st Gen.
Funny thing is, doing it for them takes the sting out of it
