new tranny
new tranny
i am going to be needing a tranny in the near future haha. mine has started slipping. i dont know a lot about tranny's and was wondering what would be a good one to put in. i read somehwere about a lock-up thats in a 47rh or something right? any input is appreciated.
The 47rh tranny is in the '94 & '95 2nd gen trucks. They do have lock up, but you will need quite a few parts to swap it into a 1st gen. If you tow a lot, it would probably be worth it (or a 5spd swap) but if not, then I would give Dave Goerend a call and he will give you all the information you need on our transmissions. Just google his name to find his website and number.

Get a stock rebuild on your tranny if your not towing alot, and then put a Valvebody and Goerend converter in it and it will feel lie you added 100 ft lbs of torque (you will) if your tranny is slippin that bad.
