New Tie ROd Ends
New Tie ROd Ends
Just replaced both TRE's to combat wobble. Its worse. Going to take it to an alignment shop tomorrow and have that checked after replacing the TREs. THats the first time I've done that. Could it be alignment? Or did I put it back together wrong. COunted the threads showing and all and seems to steer fine but steering wheel is not centered (don't remember if it was before) and of course the wobble is there.
Yeah, you've got a problem somewhere else.
You best (first) bet is to get a wife/girlfriend/friend/child to get in the truck and move the steering wheel side to side while you lay under the front of the truck and look at all the linkages...see if you can hear any popping or see any slop anywhere. These front ends aren't really all that complicated, so it shouldn't be impossible to find the issue.
