new seats for my 92?

The bench seat in my 92 has finally gotten so beaten down on the driver's side, that I am going to need to replace it sometime soon-ish. Too bad I can't trade with the passenger side, which is like new!

What do people do about a seat upgrade? I did some browsing and looks like the newer seats are not so durable. Is there a reasonably affordable aftermarket seat that is recommended or another make and model I might find in good shape in a wrecking yard?

Thanks!

i been eyeing a set of volvo bucket seats . we rented one last year on a trip and that was the longest amount of seat time i ever had with out a backache. have not measured them up but they are very wide at the bottom . gives a guy a little wiggle room.

I put a set of buckets with the center console out of a 94 ctd in my truck a couple of years back and have been more than happy with it since. That bench seat is a real pain in the butt.

Hey I like the handy roll of duct tape! And it's nice to see that I'm not the only one driving around with the steering column all nekkid like that...

If you like the bench seat, take it to an upholstery shop and have them rebuild it. The last one I had done was under $200.

http://www.discountvantruck.com/ These are some of the best priced aftermarket seats I have found and you can order them with a bracket so it will bolt right into your stock holes.

I hope this helps!

Anyone know if Dodge made a bench seat that has the center section that is a small seat that will fold down into a console that will work in a 93? OR...... a small bench type seat for the back in place of the flip down side seats? My 9 year old doesn't like riding back there, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check my gallery for pics, I believe the rear rear bench is from a 80's Ford Super Cab. The front seats are "Cobra's". They are carried by a couple of car customizing shops in Calgary.

I have a 1980 Crew cab Power Wagon and I'm wanting to put front buckets seats in it with a center console. Now I'm told that I could use the seats out of a 2nd gen truck or seats out of early Ramcharger, but I want to keep the old-ish style so it can look good with the original back seat. What ya'll thoughts?
