new fuel ??? what additive ??

OK GUYS !!! I"v searched the board !! read the CHEVRON site !
I read that this new fuel is going to shrink fuel pump seals in first gen.
also read that adding lubercating additives will not help the seals ??
( is that a correct statement ?) my ?????
what can we do to save the seals ! anybody got a line on a additive that will help keep the seals from shrinking ??
( this new fuel is dryer ? )
what do you think ???

Ford has their own line to correct this. Out here someone says for all trucks, wether Ford, Chevy, their saying the Mopar line is best. Heck, who knows? I still plan on the 50/50 of Diesel Kleen cetane boost and MMO. So far so good. We need a knock on wood icon! Hey, Guru Dave, can you arrange this?

Stanadyne is what you need. it's cheeper then the mopar additive(same stuff, same price, only mopar treats one tank,Stanadyne tread 120 gal,)
there is plenty of fuel additive the ether's will recommend that are good also.......if it has alcohol in the ingredients, DON"T us it!

Has anyone tried the new Amsoil product out there, yet? $6.99/32 oz. and treats 120 gallons. Curious if anyone's tried it yet.

I'm going with the new Fuel Power 3000. Gotta buy it by the gallon, about $50 delivered. Treats ~650 gallons. It's only a little more expensive, but I'll wager, WAY better. OBTW, it is not going to be available for another couple weeks, but you can preorder it here:

Or if you need it yesterday you can still get the old FP60, which costs less and is still better than Stanadyne, Powerservice, and all that other cr@p.

Stanadyne has re-formulated it's Performance Formula for the new Diesel fuel mixture. I have used their product since the mid '90s and have always been happy with it.

Don`t know what to say or do about the pump seals except..I`m keeping my fingers (and toes) crossed. I`m on my 2nd tank of ULSD and so far no problems other than a dip in my MPG`s and less "on it" smoke. I use PS Grey in summer and white in winter, I mix it about 75%-25% with either 2 cycle oil or MMO.

I have used many different additives, and I still like Stanadyne. They are the only additive suppler that also produces diesel fuel systems, so they know what goes on in a pump and what it needs.

I generally only run their lube additive, unless it's going to be below the gel point of my fuel, then I'll run their PP depressant as well. Stanadyne is good stuff.

I run PS and MMO every tank. Here is a link to a Dodge reply about the new fuel. https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...d.php?t=121140 I don't know how much stock to put in it because sometimes I do not think that Dodge remembers making the 1st Gen.

I've been using a 50/50 mixture of Diesel Kleen and Marvel Mystery oil. The MMO label even states that it will help with lubrication issues due to the new ULSD.

Just mix up batches, Mike. If you have any empty 1 quart oil containers, mix up 16 oz. of MMO and 16 oz. of the Power Service Diesel Kleen in the grey gallon, which is both an injector cleaner and cetane booster. Since I've been running this for 6 months now, my truck just idles so smooth. I've actually gotten compliments on the idle, can you believe that?
