New downpipe for w/g from Stan's

Well I feel pretty lucky that I get to be the guinea pig for Stan's new 4" downpipe for a wastegated housing! I talked to Bruce at Stan's headers and he said that he would adjust the jig for a wastegated housing to add a little clearance between the firewall and the d/p. I'm going to install it this weekend a long with 4" all the way back and let him know how it fits. He said that they would put it into production if it fits good. So wait till monday to order one if you're thinking about it!

I'll repost in this thread about how it fits

And not two wekks ago they were telling me no one has ever mentioned that they need it one inch shorter. They were also keen on the fact that not only would they not do it, but that when i did it it voided the warrenty. .

Well Stan's, here is your chance to win some people back to your side, don't screw it up, or try to charge stupid amounts of money.

Well guys, I got the downpipe on this weekend. Turns out that it fits great! Plenty of clearance and I even got it to bolt up to the stock bracket on the bell housing. I'm very pleased with it. The turbo spools so much faster than with straight 3 inch and the turbo sound is awesome! I dont have the whole kit on yet because I need a couple hangers but as of now, its straight back to the axle and then 45'ed down. I love it

To get this shortened downpipe all you have to do is ask for it? Or do you have to give them dimensions?
Thanks

Just call and ask for it. And if they don't know what you're talking about, then ask to talk to bruce. He's the one I've been dealing with and hes the one that built it. I'll try to get some pics up today

I'm not sure if it will cost more or not. The original downpipe they have is $185 just by itself. Thats what I paid for my shorty. Might be $10 dollars or so more since it will say "wastegated" in the description Sorry I havent had any time to get some pics posted. I promise I'm trying to get some.
