Need your advise on a purchase
For me I would love to have the club cab, but would not give up the 4x4. it really depends on how much you are going to use either one. I would love the CC, but I definately use the 4x4 more (especially in the northeast) than having the need for a club cab. Just weigh out the pro's vs. cons of either one and that should spell it out for you. If you have the resources, I saw a friend of mine extend a reg cab by welding on the back half of a club cab. He lost a little bed room, but he made it work and it turned out pretty cool.
Good luck in your decision...

For me I couldn't afford the CC so the single cab was my only option. I love my 4x4 (just not over speed bumps, the original owner ordered the truck with an adda leaf on the front to hold the motor I guess and a HD spring pack in the back so I idle over speed bumps) for when I need it. It's really rough at times but when you need it it is a life saver
I agree with everyone else get a cheaper 4x4 for hunting and keep your truck!

Well, guys, I landed the 4X4 today, and I must say, It is right at this time, 1am in the morning, only 16 hours since I purchased it, that I am going thru the buyers remorse! I couldn't pass it up, especially w/ 1st Gens in this condition being so scarce. The truck is a beaut, and well maintained w/ only 124,000.. It is a single cab, and the colors are the black w/ gold trim. Only mods to the truck are front leaf additions, new master cylinder, a brand new tranny w/ upgraded TC done at 83,000 miles. The previous owner is still scrambling to get me the tranny service work reciepts because I want to know what type of TC he had installed. All he remembers is that the TC alone was $1,000 and that is what he wanted, feeling that he was going to forever own the truck. Any ideas on which type of TC would cost that much? A BD is $650.00. I didn't know they went higher for our trucks.
Man, what a dog as far as performance! After toolin' around w/ my 2x4 and its power goodies for awhile now, this 4x4 is awful slow. The IP is totally untouched, and I intend to fix that. As soon as I can learn to post pics, I'll share. As far as the advise goes, thnks to you all. I am planning to keep both, and the 4x4 will stricly be for the great outdoors and dump runs. Who knows, after about a year or two, I may decide to keep the 4x4 exclusively, take all my goodies off of the 2x4, and sell it. Who knows??
