I'm still waiting on a flywheel for my truck and was wondering: are Cummins flywheels prone to cracking? Heat/stress, or just heat? The one I have that's cracked is a '98 W350, were there better years? I notice that shops that resurface flywheels won't touch a cracked one so I figure it's potentially a BIG problem, especially with 3 visible cracks at 90 degree segments of flywheel? With an aluminum bellhousings being the only thing to slow down the pieces......YIPES!
