Need some info on tranny lines

Ok, so I drive a 92 W250 diesel. I just changed my transmission fluid (auto). Seems to have fixed my problem of slipping gears. However, I'm still leaking transmission fluid. More than I was before. It's everywhere, hoses, frame, bottom of the pan, engine block even under my radiator. My question is I'm thinking of going through and one by one changing out my transmissin lines. Do they make a better transmission line? Meaning one that screws in at each end? Kind of like a hydraulic line on a piece of heavy equipment. Or can I have them made? The reason I ask is about a month and a half ago I was on my way to work on morning and one of my transmission lines blew off of the hard line at the connection point. While it was easy enough to fix, seeing all the rest of the transmissin line that have the same screw type band, it makes me a little nervous about leaving them. So any suggestions? Does anyone have any that have screw type fittings at the joints? Where did you get them or do they have to be custom made?

I don't know about screw on fittings but one of the old-time mechanic told me to take a tubing cutter and make 1 or 2 creases around the end of the pipe being careful not to actually cut into the pipe. Close enough together so that the client will squeeze on both of them. Just my two cents, Mike.

Find a good hydraulic hose shop. Here there is a place that sells Gates hose and belts they can make anything hydraulic you can think of. They hooked me up with this 300 psi hydraulic hose that you just push onto the fittings that are barbed, and they will not pull apart period. Its hard finding 1/2 inch transmission hose or lines unless you go to a dealer.. I prefer the rubber line, since it takes seconds to make, you can also do repairs on the road with no tools sorry i dont know the name of the stuff though. They have the adators that screw in the tranny and you just push the line on it and you done !! secure it from any rub points and you have lines that will last a lifetime !
