If you want a cheap and dirty 300 HP, get POD's (off Ebay), a 16 cm turbine housing, and an HTT Stage III compressor upgrade from HTT. Get the 3200 RPM spring from an injection pump shop. With a few pump tweaks those parts will get you about 300 HP at the back tires for under $1000. I will get hot towing, though. If you tow a lot, spend a little extra money and get the Bosch 190 injectors from PDR. They won't make quite as much power, but the EGT's will stay a lot lower towing.

What Dave said. You're asking for the two extremes of performance when asking to tow (a trailer) and pull (a sled). You'll have to make a compromise somewhere, and depending on budget, injectors will probably be it.

If you wanted to expand you budget a bit you could get all what Dave said with the PODs and a H20/Meth injection kit and you will get more power and may be able to keep it cool enough to tow. Not sure though someone else will have to chime in. The downside is if you buy a name brand kit (which are nice kits) it will be roughly $500
