hey freight, the headache rack looks great (and i'm not a fan of them) where are you getting your bumper from. mine are coming from southwest and should be read around the first. post some pics when you get them on. i'm having a bunch of custom work done to mine, but would love to see how it looks on yours.

Dont know the name of the company! I went threw a third party company to get it! Its not Southwest fabricators. I couldnt get the companies name from my contact, but was told they are one of the oldest bumper manufactures in TX! I was also told they are germans! I dont know what to make of that! Better than Koreans I guess I didnt want a flat face front bumper! Its base is a 4" pipe! Its called a pipe wrap around full replacment front. It looks like a Ranch Hand for a second gen! Complete with grille guard and a receiver hitch installed! Its coming in on a R+L truck this week! I am so excited to get it on my dually!

My little-old-lady-schoolteacher mother, of all people, bought herself a brand-new 4-door Chevy in about 2004.

She was living back and forth between Texas and New Mexico.

After just about everyone she knew had hit some kind of four-legged critter and mangled their car, she had some bumper-making concern in Texas (I think??) to install a front bumper/guard.

I have seen a lot of custom bumpers and this one is by far the stoutest and best-looking one I have ever seen.

It has very heavy steel through-out.

It looks a lot like the one you describe, with wrap-around big tubing, receiver-hitch, grille-guard, lighting cut-outs, license bracket, etc.

I am curious if possibly she got her's from the same company.

I didnt get any light cutouts. I wouldnt put lights in it. When I finally get it hopefully it will have something on it with the companies name. I mean it left the company via R+L so there name should be on the bill of lading! As soon as it comes I will take pics and give all the info I can. Also just to let everyone know. I have been trying to get it for about 6 weeks! Apparently this comany has a huge waiting lists! But it was the only company I could find that made this type of bumper for our trucks! Like I stated before I didnt want a flat face front bumper! I wanted something more aggresive looking! Thanks, Robert

Sounds like you are getting an ArcRight bumper. I would take one of them over a new ranch hand anyday. The last couple ranch hands I have seen look like they are using smaller material.

Alittle over $1k shipped. It sounds really exspensive but shipping on this bad boy was $229 from TX to me here in WV! I could have gotten a flat front for about $250-$300 cheaper but I wasnt to fancy on it! Like I said before I have always wanted to find a bumper for our first gens that was very similar to the ranch hand style for second gens!

I havent wired the lights yet! Work and the cold temp outside has kept me from doing it! I already have an extra switch under my dash from the previous owner having an aux fuel tank in the bed! So all need to do is hook up that wire to the clear lights! The red lights I am going to just use them as running lights. I am not going to hook them into my brake/turn signal lights. Robert
