Talking My GV Mileage Update

Well after a little over a month of driving, I finally filled up this morning with my first tank with the GV working, and I am quite pleased. My average mileage with my 4:10's has been a steady 19-20 mpg, with the occasional 21 if I baby it enough. This morning I made 606 miles on the tank and only pumped 26.3 gallons to make 23.04mpg, not too bad. The GV gave me around an extra 100 mile range to the truck. Overall I am happy with the truck, and I'm sure I can get that number higher.

Thanks All

thanks for posting! I always wondered? Do you know how far it dropped your RPMs at HWY speeds?

Please excuse the ignorance. What is "GV"? Told you it was ignorant.

whereswaldo250 that's great. I need to install the 5sp. my auto is 13.87 mpg. 20 mpg would be great. You have more mods to your truck too and getting that kinda mileage is great. I would be happy with a daily average of just 17/18 mpg. Good luck.

I'd say 19mpg is pretty good for 4.10 gears anyway!! Imagine if you had 3.55's!

Thanks Guys,
For those wondering it truely drops the rpm's about~400
As far as fuel mods go I have a stage IV, with a rotated fuel pin, probably why my EGT's are higher when in OD (turbo not spinning fast enough). I know some people don't see that kind of difference, but its all about how you drive, and this number is running the truck empty (no loads). This tank was also about 90% hiway, and I drive about 40 miles a day during the week, to school and back. I figure a tank a month is not too bad. I do want to put a load behind it to see how it does with splitting.

Thanks Guys
Ben
