My 1975 Dodge D200 Cummins swap Project
I have done a few conversions and always find it easier to keep frame and engine combo together. When i did my M37 that was not possible because the wheelbase was different and most important was the motor position. measure from the center of the front end to the tunnel in the firewall. Some cabs are further foreward then others but Dodge to Dodge should be OK.
Cummins 1975 D200 Club Cab Road Trip Pictures up!
Over the Christmas break I drove my 1975 D200 Club Cab Cummins power from Calgary down to Salt Lake Vegas, LA, then back up the PCH #1 and 101 to see friends and family who live along the way. The cummins is amazing in the steep mountain grades as making as much as 20 psi boost on cruise control. Fuel economy ran between 18 and 22 on the US Gallon. No problems with the truck at all. The tune is perfect, no smoke at all and my 0-40 Mobile 1 oil did not discolor at all it’s still clean now and I’m home again. In Portland I met up for coffee with Farmer_01 Doug from the Diesel Truck Resource Forum.
As well on the road I ran into Desperado of the NW Bombers forum at a Flying J fuel station. Desperado noticed my truck and said, “Hay are you a Member of the North West Bombers Forum, are you from Canada, you guys just built that Cummins 75 I was following it on the forum”
Thanks for all your help guys.

glad to hear you made it home. four inches of snow this morning . this place grinds to a halt. cool deal to meet someone else at the flying J . did you go up the gorge and follow the 395 north to tricities.?
Thanks for the post Farmer, yes I did I went east just as we were talking and 395 north, its a great smooth highway, 70 mph all the way, then I went toward sandpoint and up to eastport, there was no lineup at the port and I was back in Canada on Saturday. My ULS Diesel from portland was starting to jell up on me in Cranbrook BC. I had to stop and fill up on Howes and Canadain Diesel to get all my power and smooth idle back. It was -27C in Cranbrook, roads were clear mind you. The Canadain fuel and howe sorted out my jello problems in about 10 miniutes all was back to normal.

Any of you that are coming up here with your rigs, make sure you load up on howes or you will have problems, your Diesel is not like ours in winter!

P.S.
Can you email me your full sized photos of the ones you took for your wife, for my PC and my wife, hee hee,
You can send them one at a time if the are bigger than 4 megs each.
Thanks

At first I was amazed that the 92 and 75 have measurements that close, then it dawned on me that Dodge is real slow to make drastic changes. I got the itch to do a mid 60's W 300 or W 200 swap.
Excellent job and great tech.

I had a '57 D600 that I bought without eng. transplanted a '55 270 ci hemi. truck gone and no pics unfortunately
at any rate, I was not interested in the stock ignition system so I went to a boneyard and got a complete electronic system out of an early '70's plymouth satellite with la eng.
distributor dropped right into place.
started almost as good as a diesel after that
tks,
