My 1975 Dodge D200 Cummins swap Project
The Chrysler Corp auto trans bellhousing and manual trans bellhousing are the same. Any Cummins 4BT-6BT Cummins/Dodge adapter plate will fit. Flywheels can be tricky as there's 2 different sizes. Early 1st gen allow a 13" clutch, later flywheels only use 12.14 clutch. No idea on the radiator question....
Thanks a lot, so I will need to find a 94+ Plate. Can you give me any info on the intercooled front ends compared to the non-ic??
94 - 2002 adapters are the same from year to year, BUT, I am pretty sure there is one plate for the auto and another for the manual. The only differance from a 5 speed to a 6 speed is a spacer for the starter. I have spare flywheels and adapters if you end up needing some.
When I put the engine In the 78, I had to notch the frame slightly for the starter.

The flywheel housing or block adapter is different between the manual tranny and the auto in the 1st generation trucks, also the second gen trucks got an inch longer adapter to have room for the lockup torque converter. So you have 3 variations of adapter, manual tranny 89-93, auto 89-93, and 94 and up adapters. When I got the 6 speed home for installation in my 1st gen to my suprize the getrag bell housing block adapter wouldn't fit the nv 6 speed bell. I bought a 95 auto flywheel housing to bolt the tranny to.

The bolt pattern on the starter changed in 94, had to buy a starter for my conversion, the 1st gen starter is same between auto and stick though. there is big difference in the support and the radiator between I/C and non I/C truck. I would use the 92 radiator, modify your support, maybe cut the mounting brackets off the 92 and weld them into the older support.
So are the 89-93 bellhousing adapters the standard chyrsler gasser bolt patern or are cummins engine, tranny only? I would love to have a cummins to chysler bellhousing adapter for a 4bta in my Durango.

flywheel housings for 3bt 4bt and 6bt cummins are available for chevy bolt pattern, big ford, sae #2 and #3. These are the ones I have seen, besides the chrysler pattern, which is unique to the dodge cummins and v-10 applications. I don't think the dodge cummins auto bell housing bolt pattern changed between 1st and 2nd gen, the adapter just got longer. I will be able to answer that question this winter, i'm parting out a 90 and will see if a 96 adapter fits the 727. But I can tell you for sure it ain't even close to chrysler A motor bell, or B motor for that matter.
I have updated the pictures site with some more
