MPG VS power

How is the Avg MPG affected when you start cranking the power up on the pump? if you still drive normally without pounding your foot into the throttle does the MPG stay the same?

I think most will agree, that with slight tweaking and keeping your foot out of it, it can get better mileage than stock. Much tweaking on the other hand will effect mileage negatively.

The engine is always fuel starved at cruise speeds which means that once you get up to speed your mileage is controlled by the load and drag. However when you have a heavy foot your mileage, especially around town, will suffer. On the highway at cruise it shouldn't change.

Mileage won't suffer until you put big (POD's or larger) injectors in.

Even with big injectors my highway mileage is the same. I lost one whole mpg in town.

My pump is set to 'kill' and I'm dissapointed with less that 20mpg. Usually hangs around 22 in the summer. Cranking the pump with stock injectors simply increases fueling potential...as long as you're not asking for the power, the fuel isn't getting used.
