Movin' on up in the world
Movin' on up in the world
Well the opportunity arose and it was too good to pass up. I bought an 04 QCLB Common Rail auto truck from my dad with 160k stock, original miles. He recently bought an srt8 challenger and can't get in and out of the truck like he used to so he mentioned selling it and I jumped all over it. The first gen will be for sale and if it doesn't sell (or rot into the ground, whichever comes first) then I will make a toy/sleeper out of it. I'll lurk and contribute where I can but otherwise I'll see you guys around.
Nola if you PM me a phone number I can send you information and text you pics of it but I don't have any on the computer. Cougar, thanks for the sarcastic, yet negative response! Yes power everything and leather buckets with 4 wheel disc brakes low miles 4 brand new tires, recently replaced front end, new radiator, ujoints, ac compressor, condensor, trans cooler, intercooler, rebuilt trans, decent ride quality and a functioning stereo system is moving up in my book. I haven't updated my sig in months..the undergoing repairs was a bad LP from almost 7 months ago.
Good luck with the new truck! Sounds like a lot of new parts put into the truck for only 160k miles. If I had to foot the bill for all those parts and associated labor on an 04' with only 160k miles, I would be selling it too. Just kidding. I am definately jealous of the 4 wheel disc brakes but not the new motor.
The parts were a product of my stupidity..I got into an accident with it. I liked who and how the truck was repaired, and the title is still clear so I have no problem paying for my mistakes..dad got his srt8 and i got a nice truck. In stock form the CR isn't such a bad thing but it appears I will have a reliable 12v as a backup.

Other than self inflicted repairs the CR has not let us down in the 8 years of ownership. Just basic oil and fuel filters..oh and its a dodge automatic, so we rebuilt that at 150k.
Paul,
Since I gave you those PS gear plates for your "future use" and you aren't going to need them, why not offer them to one of the guys here who really needs them.
I'm sure you've seen the posts for guys looking for them...
Pay it forwards man......
