More nv4500 swap questions

For those that have swapped a auto to a nv4500 in a extended cab what was the length of the transfer case shift rod? I know it needs shortened but how much did y’all end up taking out of it? Also I’m using metal by Charlie’s nv4500 bracket

I have not done the swap, but I have a gas auto truck. Front driveshaft is about 5" longer. I reckon the nv4500 and Getrag are within an inch of each other.

I did the swap 10 years ago. I think I reused the Getrag transfer case shifter rod and the front drive shaft. I used Advanced Adapters Mickey Mouse T case mount that I need to modify enough, buying it was worthless.

I do not know the length of the shifter rod off the to off my head. It should be easy to measure how long it needs to be when the transmission and T-case are in the truck.

So I don’t have access to the auto shift rod. The metal by Charlie mount is sort of goofy how it’s set up he recommends to use a section of 3/8 all thread and some ball joint linkages I measured out 12 inches from transfer case to shifter problem is that the MBC mount sits different than the factory auto assembly Main thing I’m trying to determine is where it should it sit in 2H I’d like to get it as close as I can. It’s currently in the negatives in North Dakota and trying to spend minimal time under the truck as I can

When I did my 4wd conversion on my NV4500 back in 2013 I used the Advanced Adapters NV4500/NP205 transfer case shifter bracket...

https://www.advanceadapters.com/5451

Looks like it doesn't come with the shifter rod anymore, my kit had the bracket and an adjustable shifter rod.

Hey Oliver, been a rough couple years, so haven't been here on the board, but good to see you and NJTman still kicking around!

Yup still daily driving Patches...Rolling up on 475K kms! I have taken pics of most of the stuff I've been doing to Patches...mostly general maintenance stuff, will update my build thread over the next few weeks when I find time.
