mixing atf brands

mixing atf brands

i am low on transmission fluid and cannot find the same brand i have in it now, i use Valvoline ATF full synthetic but my question is can i mix another brand of ATF full synthetic and not need to worry? and it is dexron 3 for our truck right?

I have mixed trans fluids before and have not had any problems.

Those fluids are made to certain specifications. They are interchangeable within the various families. Mopar even allowed topping up with AFT+4 when there was still alot of ATF+3 in service.
