Mirrors for camper

Got my camper a couple weeks ago and I can't see around it with the stock mirrors. Has anyone tried those slip on or clamp on add ons. I'd hate to get rid of the electric ones but will if I have to.

DJ

I have the **** slip ons and am satisfied with them. They seem to be the best option for under $50.00.

You can look at them here;

http://www.camperschoice.com/cgi-bin.../web_store.cgi

Then search "mirrors"

Dan

Re:Mirrors for camper

I just got back from a trip to Florida. Before I left I wanted to get some mirrors to get out just a bit further than the stock ones. The "slip on's" vibrate to much to be of much use on my truck. I tried the 40 buck per each type that ratchet to your mirror and they were about the same as the slip ons. I then tried the kind that strap with rubber straps to the mirror. They were 15 bucks a piece and worked the best. Yep they still vibrate but they work well enough to use on the road and still see. I also made some spacers out of wook to reduce the vibration. I would suggest them. They worked the best for me. The dealer let me try them all and the strap on's were the best.

Re:Mirrors for camper

thumbs, I've been wanting some mirror extensions too, and that's just the kind of input I was looking for. Thanks. Could you give us some more info on the brand, model number, etc. of the rubber strap type you like?

I pull a gooseneck trailer with a truck camper on the front of the trailer, so I could use some help seeing around the camper, but I don't want to mess with or give up my factory power mirrors.
