Mike,I watched your video of you shifting and I have to say you did a great job shifting!! The secret with the Cummins is watch your RPM's once you get familiar with the truck you won't need clutch other than for take off and stopping. Truck is gorgeous by the way!! it is way to

Augie, in the last shifting video there is a International Dt366 in the old truck. I'm a little jerky at picking up the throttle, not letting everything tighten up before putting my foot in it.

In this new video I'm running the Cummins and I'm getting better with the foot.... all in the foot for smooth shifting without the clutch.

PS, of course I had to show off my new tilt - telescoping steering column

PC, I logged about 12,000 miles on it but I was tired of being all cramped up with no leg room. So started making the Mc Mobile a 30" extended cab with cab air ride..... but temporally taking a break from it.

This video shows the cramped area for my long legs.

No madder how much I tried teaching the woman to shift without the clutch see could never figure it out. She logged about 2,000 miles behind the wheel and she was always frustrated and kept breaking things. So out with the 10 speed and now there's a built 47RH auto sitting behind the '93 Cummins (the tranny is the singe most expensive purchase for the truck).

During this down time I restored a '68 Dodge D100. It has an auto so she pretty much drives it daily leaving her Jetta parked. Happy to buy this truck from the original owner. Her are few pics and video's.

Very cool stuff MikeMc thanks for the reply and updates! Sweet D100 BTW. If your wife was that excited prior to the resto it isn't surprising it is now her DD!

Any pics of the truck or the build? I looked through every page of the thread but didn't seem to find any?

There were a lot of pics. He must have deleted them or moved them out of his photobucket account.

I didn't remove any picture but there are several pics on this other thread.

The bad thing about this is..... I have all the parts..... just need to get motivated and get the truck done. This will be my third time rebuilding the old truck so I MUST do it right. When that time comes I'll be needing your advise.

Sorry Scott I don't recall the coolant capacity. But it did weight 1,700 lbs and the 5.9 Cummins weight was strait up 1,000 lbs.

I bet it was the 466 then. Probably had a liner eaten away from the back side. They were good at that, IHC retrofitted a coolant filter onto that series motor when it came out in the tractors to solve it, the filter was more a means to add conditioner to the coolant than for cleaning it.
