marvel mystery oil + sae 30?
my wife recently siezed her parents lawn mower engine. i was told to over fill it with marvel and let it sit for a few days to see if it would free it up. well no luck... i put 3 quarts of the marvel in and when i drained everything back out i ended up with probably 3.5 quarts, some was spilled so i assume there was proabably a little less than a quart in the mower. now for my question.... can/should i run the marvel mixture in the cummins? i've torn the mower engine down and it didn't seem to tear anything up... run a magnet through the oil with no metal and haven't seen any aluminum. what do you guys think... i know it's only $10 but if it's still good for something i'd like to use it!

I use it especially after just rebuilding a engine. It works pretty good at fixing ticking lifters. Let it sit in the cylinders of an old farm tractor for a couple years finally got it broke loose and its still running now after a couple years no tear down rebuild or anything!

Wait, you're wanting to use the oil that you had poured into the lawn mower already? I wouldn't think that would be advisable, unless you had a really good way of filtering it to be sure it was contaminate free...
