Yes and yes, if you search you should find some threads on peoples thoughts. I run one on a stock truck and noticed an improvement.

I run one in my mess and it helps better burn the excess fuel at lower engine rpm.

I run one its great. It's a ton of money for the amount of parts you get in a tiny plastic bag, but it makes power for sure. Do a thread search on Cummins forum there's a post like 7 pages long with great detail.

I run one but I have to take it off in the winter. Otherwise it works great. It effects my cold starts for some unknown reason. As far as i know, I'm the only one with this odd issue.

I'm glad I bought one. I wasn't really wanting to bump my static timing and lose my bottom-end but wanted to advance top-end. It works great!

I have one in the garage...just need to find the time to reset my IP to stock timing before I put it on.

You don't need to reset your timing if your only running a "little" advance. You should have no problem with 1/8". There are a few that are running the timing device even with a tooth bump. It all depends on your overall set up.

This is quite true as I actually run my mess advanced two teeth with the M&H spacer. The IP & gear-case marks are right at each other.

What rpm, injector sizes are people running to warrant having the static timing bumped while using a dynamic timing spacer? I'm just guessing but wouldn't having the static timing bumped even an 1/8th " defeat the purpose of the M&H spacer?

I`m guessing it runs faster down the strip that way but how does it affect street driving? Is a rattly beast with that much timing?

Actually no.

I really need to measure where the timing is via the micrometer if only to be able to put it back there when I pull the IP this winter.

Understand the way my timing is set: With the KSB ON (full advance), I did a bunch of dyno-runs to dial it in for the most horse power at WOT.

That's where the IP's bolted down. The pump is two teeth advanced, and has the IP to gear-case marks VERY close to lining up (just a bit advanced, 1/16"ish?). It includes the dynamic timing advance thingy.

Back-off two teeth, and you're pretty-much where M&H wants you to run it.
But I do run 6x0.016" injectors too.

Not sure where I'm going with this .. .

I may very well be retarded timing wise in the stock running range (No KSB).

IIRC, a 1 tooth jump is equivalent to approximately 10* advance.

My engine DATA-plate reads 1.25mm lift @ TDC ('93, automatic).
