Question LSD grabby

After I had the fluid in my diff changed the last time I noticed it being grabby in a sharp turn. like in a parking lot at slow speed. So I put one tube of friction mod. in it and it still doing it. Do I need to put in another? It didnt do it till I changed the fluid.

I have had that happen to me before. I added the modifier as directed on the little bottle and it still did the jerky/grabby thing. I talked to a friend who worked on differentials all the time and he said it shouldnt hurt to add another bottle. I did and it helped some. I thought well if 2 was good 3 would be better so i added another and it worked fine. Underlying problem im not sure because i traded it off about 6 months later and never knew if it messed up more or it fixed the problem. Im sure some of the guys here can give you a heads up on adding too much. Good luck!!

It depends on the quality of the additive.
Drive several tight circles after you add it too.
Mopar and GM addives are better than the part store stuff.

I've had to add it even with synthetic fluid.

You have another.... better option.

You can dump the gear oil in there now, and install this...

If you use it, you won't have to utilize the additive, as it replaces the additive if used 50/50 or greater, I believe. If you read the bottle's back label, it explains what I'm talking about.

Also, depending on how old the clutches in the diff are, they might need to be replaced.
