With my A/C on and hot as it has been, my idle gets low and lopey. Not sure what is causing it....

 

You murdered your ip when your lift pump plugged.

 

Maybe, but it was doing it last year before I plugged the pump. I think Jet A might be making it worse.

 

How did you plug the lift pump?

 

The screen at the bottom of my pickup assy in the tank was torn and I didn't know it.

Cool, other than that I am fresh out of ideas. My 90 has a high idle **** that I use sometimes with the ac on, but, I think I read on here somewhere that only 89's and 90's had them. Mark

 

worn/tired pump, been there myself.

 

The jet fuel is thinner right? (lower viscosity) If so, it will leak past the H&R more than #2.

I would say the H&R is tired, jet-a is amplifying the problem. Mix some oil in with it.

Apparently it's a common problem (during hot weather) and can't be fixed without disassembling the pump
