Low, lopey idle when hot?

With my A/C on and hot as it has been, my idle gets low and lopey. Not sure what is causing it....

Maybe, but it was doing it last year before I plugged the pump. I think Jet A might be making it worse.

The screen at the bottom of my pickup assy in the tank was torn and I didn't know it.

Mark, are you putting lubricant into the jet-a? I don't know if it matters or not, but the thought crossed my mind...Mark

Cool, other than that I am fresh out of ideas. My 90 has a high idle **** that I use sometimes with the ac on, but, I think I read on here somewhere that only 89's and 90's had them. Mark

The jet fuel is thinner right? (lower viscosity) If so, it will leak past the H&R more than #2.

I would say the H&R is tired, jet-a is amplifying the problem. Mix some oil in with it.

I was having the same problem.... hence this other thread I started:

https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...d.php?t=291363

Faith explained the problem in the thread in her last post

https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...08&postcount=8

Apparently it's a common problem (during hot weather) and can't be fixed without disassembling the pump
