Here's a shot of my home built bracket to use a 1989 3.0 V6 TPS on my cummins. The sensor works great & took very little to mount.



Never mind the wiring, it was done quickly for test purposes.
This sensor is easily available & only about $50.00 to buy from any parts store.

However, this needs more information, such as how you fit the TPS to teh throttle shaft, did you have to drill the pump housing to mount it and such...

 

I'll have to take it apart for pics, but here is the basic procedure.
Remove the stock setup . . .
use stock bracket as a pattern to make one for replacement TPS . . .
narrow ears on throttle shaft adaptor & adjust to allow bottom to hit throttle shaft .. . .
drill & tap mounting holes in new plate for sensor . . . .
install bracket using stock bolts . . .
install sensor & adaptor using. . .
replace wiring plug with one for gasser .. .
Adjust sensor & enjoy . . . .

 

You are a genius! Please do take it apart to show how you did it, this will be a popular fix to be sure.

I really don't know . . i took mine off the spare throttle body in the garage.

BTW .. will post pics once approved.

 

It's a $30 part aftermarket. Fits just about every EFI Chrysler product from the '80's and '90's.

 

While you have it apart for pictures, please put the new bracket into a scanner and scan a picture of it. We'll be able to use it as a template to make our own.

why dont you go with a pintometer tps, my total cost was, um, hum 3$ and i just did it because i was tired of taking the tps ever thing i had to take the pump or and i would recomend doing it to every auto od, i can cruse 80kms/50 - 55miles at 1250 to 1300rpm with 4:10s

This is the bottom of the sensor I used.



Her is a view of the lightly modified TPS adjuster . .all i did was narrow it to fit gasser TPS & adjust the bolt.



her is the custom Bracket . . I just used the stock one as a pattern, but made a hole to fit the 3.0 TPS. The mount holes are 5MM x .80.



This is the bracket & adjuster in place without the sensor. Yes i know the hole is not round . . I didn't get it centered on first try so ground it oval.

This mod works great . truck goes into OD at 30 - 35 on light throttle . .65 or so wide open (high idle is upped). Just adjust it according to stock setting. i have found it is not a sensetive adjustment.

 

That's a cool fix and all, but it sure seems like a lot of work when you can just do my $5 all-adjustable fix with a potentiometer from Radio shack...

I wanted to keep it working like it did from factory . .but not have to pay $200.00+ for a sensor every time it goes bad.
