looseing boost i think

looseing boost i think

ok my boost was up 28psi and now it bearly gets 20 is there something wrong with gauge or can something else be doing it or what can i check to see y i not getting that. i just changed fuel filter the other day i bought new K&N filter bout a month ago. i dont notice any power loss still smokes good when u floor it
any ideas

make sure the boost line going from your manifold to the AFC housing is connected properly. I forgot to hook mine back up once and lost about 10 psi, same thing as being in valet mode for those with a valet switch.

If you haven't noticed a big difference in performance at full boost then you have a crack in you boost gauge line some wheres.

when u say boost leck. ur saying the boost line or boost tubes going to the the intercooler

(A) If you have a leak in the boost line from the manifold(head) to the inj pump(afc housing) then your gauge would show low boost pressure because the boost was being wasted and the inj pump would not fuel up to get the normal boost and...........and power would be down

(B)If it is you gauge that has a leak( whether it be the gauge it's self or the boost line to it) then boost gauge will show low............but power would only be slight difference in you SOTP meter(Seat Of The Pants, meter)

You could also have a intercooler/boot leak that could cause problem (A)

I think this is what you are asking................Right
