Not sure if you've seen this or not. But watch the whole thing....right to the end.

I can't understand the idea of being "HAPPY" over the idea you just ruined your truck you've put all this time, money and effort into.

Was it funny ? I guess it was amusing, but I wouldn't be "hi fiving" someone after I just watched my truck break in half...

I have seen this before, almost looks like they were trying to break something the way they had the cable over the blocks to the front of the box. What did they expect with the leverage acting on the center of the frame.

It's the monster truck syndrome. You get points (of some sort) for self destruction. Had he just hooked up to the hitch with all that weight, he would have mopped up the course with the "monster" in a few seconds. This way they got a half hour of entertainment out of it.

I've hooked high for a pull before, but only with a wrecker that's well fish plated. Friends of mine, however, have folded up their wreckers repeatedly doing that sort of nonsense.

How stupid.

And then know that they are breeding at will and living in a trailer park near you.

It would have been more amusing if someone tied the cable around his neck and then pulled.

i think the "cool" or "entertaining" aspect of this, as tcows put it, is that even with the truck bent in half, the much smaller, broken, cummins truck, drug that big ol' gasser like it was in neutral. I'm not going to condemn someone for breaking their own truck, they have to fix it, not me.

broken dodge pulls $100k monster truck. as the monster truck tailgate says, "nuff said"

with the frame that you see before the movie plays, it looks like he had rigged his truck to fold in half to be some sort of jimmy rigged dump truck.

That was my initial thought, if you think about it, if it wasn't built to do it, it would have to fold exactly at the right point to keep the driveshaft from exploding, and it wouldn't have bent back like it did..........

I'm thinking it is a show.............

I think yer right. I had a friend/accomplice that folded up several different wreckers. Usually the drive shaft jammed before he even realized he was buckling the truck.

A drive shaft with a long spline, and/or a high carrier at about the bend point would work.
