Limited slip rebuild problems

So I recently (about 10 months ago) re-built my Dana 70 limited slip rear and now I don't have the LS action in the snow.
Followed the directions and everything, but I didn't use thread locker on the diff housing or the mounting brackets, didn't see any reminisce of any when disassembling, has anybody else not used thread locker on this application?
No grinding when turning as when the prior disks were bad, just no LS.

Any ideas???

Almost forgot, when installing the axles back after the re-build, it was EXTREMELY hard to get them to seat all the way in the diff, thought that was weird, almost as if the diff housing had deformed from the new clutch pac.

Not good.
Remove the cover and see what's in there. Sludge from burned clutches?
Fluid level, no-slip additive?
I'm curious because I have this job ahead of me soon and I just want to do it once.
Keep us posted.........

What kind of oil did you use? synthetic oil will turn the clutch packs to mush

No synthetics, but did use the LS additive.
My thoughts are that maybe the bolts that keep the diff housing together may have come loose, releasing the tension on the clutches themselves.
Just a thought, no evidence of this.
