leveling kit questions

im lookin to get a leveling kit for my 93 dodge 250 4x4 and i have some questions i'd leave to u experts out there lol

1 which is the best? i see skyjacker 2" brought up alot in the other threads and forums ive been lookin up on. but that doesnt mean its the best.

2 im not payin a body shop to put on a leveling kit. i wanna get "under the hood experience" and all that god stuff, but i dont wanna get in over my head, so are they hard to install yourself?

3 a leveling kit, the way my little brain sees it, will theoretically stretch things out, like the distance between point A and B, so will i have to make alot of changes? like make any fuel lines longer, electric lines, brake lines, anything like that? adjust the steering column or anything.

4 will that effect fuel mileage at all? or tire wear?

5 i dont wanna put money into levelin my baby out, and then a year later, the front end starts goin back to how it was. thatd be a real kick in the nads.

these are the questions ive had so far, and ill probably have more. im not gonna put anything on till it warms up, so i got time to think and discuss and all that good shtuff.

thanks for your imput

I have the 2-1/2" skyjacker on the front and them add a leaf in the rear. If you just want to level it out you could just go with the 1" system from skyjacker on the front. Part of it will all depend on what shape your current springs are in and if you run around loader or tow heavy. With both of the springs up front there are no other needed changes other than new longer shocks.

BDS suspension makes a leveling kit for our trucks that is around 2 inches of lift. Its only 89 dollars also. Then you would just have to buy the nuts and bolts which is only about another 40-50 bucks.
