Let the flogging begin...

Well, I just couldn't deal with the noise so I took the 6'' stacks off my truck I was actually just going to adjust the clamps to bring them a bit lower and what I found was that many of the clamps had stretched and wouldn't re-tighten without sleeves. I messed around with it for two days before I gave up on the whole mess. The combination of the tweeked bed and lazy clamps was just too much trouble. Anyhoo, FWIW, I managed to stuff a 4'' stack muffler under the bed that steps up to a 5'' tailpipe. 3rd gen quiet and no discernable difference in egt's. I do want to thank everybody for the many positive comments about my dually conversion/stacks. If my truck wasn't working for a living lately, I'd have considered leaving them on. Ok, have at me, I deserve it
Thank you sir, may I have another

I'll say this--since I've owned my truck, it's had some sort of straight pipe or stacks and I can honestly say that this muffler is awesome! It's literally one of those mufflers that runs up the side of a tractor before the chrome topper that we all use as stacks. I bet its 4' long. It's a straight through design with some kind of expansion chamber in between two louvered chambers. Now when I mash the loud pedal, I hear turbo and tires One of the best mods I've made, I'm embarrased to say...

Question Let the floggin begin ...

With a title like that, I thought you were gonna tell us that you had swapped for an S-10, or a 3rd Gen., or somesuch.

It is kinda a relief to read that you just changed smoke-stacks again.

Yeah, I was afraid you had lost your mind and gone gasser.

If my truck worked for a living, it would have a muffler.

It does tow a lot nicer. When I had to grab 4th with the stacks, I'd swear the windshield was gonna pop out

You know, it would have been easier to just use the earplugs you had hanging from the mirror.

G1625S, go with a hood stack, it's much quieter(than stacks in the bed), and there definately aren't any restriction issues lol.

G1625S, there's nothing wrong with walking softly while carrying a big stick.

You know, I was thinking the exact same thing about ten minutes ago as I was vaporizing the tires through 3rd. Untill I get some more fuel, though, I think I'll call it a 'medium' stick

No Flogging necessary your motive is 100% understandable and it takes a big man to admit it. Plus at your age I can understand you want to keep things quiet .
