Well I messed up. Decided that while changing ball joints I would change control arm bushings. First one came out right but other one was stuck. The arm split when bushing came out. Guess I'll go to the upullit tomorrow. Can someone tell me what control arms interchange with my '89. Thanks.

 

Should be the same on any 1st gen 3/4 or 1 ton.

 

The computer at the upullit showed all 1st gens being the same. The one I got from a D150 looks like a match and everything lined up. Problem is the threads for the ball joint. I pulled 3 control arms and finaly had to settle for slightly worn threads. Definitely not the best way to engineer a control arm.
