leaky injectors
leaky injectors
ok i just installed my 16 cm(love it
) and i popped the hood and looked at it to make sure everything worked fine, and i noticed bubbles coming from the 5th cylinder injector. and also i have oil and perhaps a fuel mix all the way down the side of my block
, so im going to spray a lot of degreaser on it and clean it up, hoping its just from the old valve cover gaskets i just replaced, and see what happens. to fix this do i just tighten the fittings around them? im afraid it might be hurting my fuel milage. but i wouldnt need new injectors would I
, but it would be an excuse

When I installed my head after the headgasket job, I replaced the little copper washers underneath the injectors. One of them has since leaked a bit. It hasn't caused me any problems, but I plan on looking into it when it warms up again. Mine did the same thing, fuel leaking down the side of the block. I am guessing the washer isn't seated correctly or it needs replaced. I would think that is most likely your problem. Otherwise check your line connections and bleeder screws.

Try loosening the injector and retightening it, sometimes that will seal them up. Failing that, you'll have to pull that injector, clean the bore, install a new copper, and put 'er back together. Not really a big deal.
