Leaky fuel injector

What are the signs to tell if a injector is leaking? I suppose blue smoke could be a sign but any other way to tell?
The fuel injectors on one of My cummins engines is approaching 250k miles and I wonder if it is necessary to have it rebuilt. I do not see any loss in power or lots of smoke but I always read this bad stories about injectors being stock open and ruining things so thought I'd ask the experts for advise.

Thanks.

A drop in fuel economy, increased smoke, and decreased fuel mileage are usually the first three signs. An increase in EGT could also be an indicator. I can't find the maintenance link on line or in the Cummins Service Manual but seem to recall 150K miles as the recommended normal testing and servicing point.

Take them out and have them tested at a fuel injection shop. That'll tell you really quick if any are getting weak.

Thanks guys, I guess it will be best to just send them for a rebuild and have peace of mind.
