fuel heater gasket,fleetguard:3834185-s,for bio 3958485-s,cummins:3913695,dodge:4429695,or go to the napa store ask for a 1036 oil filter,keep the gasket and throw out the filter.gaskets a little thicker,but works well.the case delete stud is $10.48 looked on my bill.

As much as I value your opinion Bearkiller I think I will keep the heater. Here in Michigan it could make the difference of me getting to work or not in the potentially frigid winter.Maybe,maybe not.

Stud and fuel heater came off with the filter just like the last time. The last time though I found an o-ring that had the right diameter, but was probably not thick enough. Not a dripping leak, but definitely a weep. I went with the gasket from the oil filter method this time.
It’s all back together and running stronger and smoother. I think I may have been sucking a bit of air. Exhaust smells like the engine is getting better combustion.
I am going to buy a new fuel heater unit and stud (old one is getting pretty warn) and stash them away for the next time.
I hate when simple maintenance turns into an ordeal.
