I might be mistaken but I think most AAMCO's are independently owned. If that's true, they're only as good as the people who operate them. I had them build a tranny in a Honda once, couldn't have been happier. It performed as it should for years and was working properly when we sold the car. As to their claim about the final payment and warranty, I'd light up the 800 number and calmly ask some questions. I highly doubt one has a bearing on the other unless you pay it off late. In that case you may forfeit your warranty because you defaulted on the payment plan. I'd get the 411 on this before I just held off paying on time. I don't blame you for being angry but make sure you're not doing yourself more harm.

Well I want to talk to the guy Monday if I can see what he's going to do to handle it. I haven't had a chance to so my wife's been dealing with the phone calls. I really don't like the fact it's not the guy I had been dealing with since I guess he doesn't work there anymore. So now I have to deal with some guy that just transferred from a different one . But in working at franchises in the past I've learned it doesn't matter who owns it if you freak out on the corporate office they tell the franchise what needs to be done. I hope it doesn't come down to that but at this point I've been out of a car or truck for a week and a half. And it might be another week before they get it done. I want to just tell them to eat the remainder of the bill since I've had to find rides for my son to school, me to work and my night classes I take. Plus all my wifes errands and everything else. I've paid alot of extra money in other peoples cars fuel tanks thanks to AAMCO now.
