A few hours depending on your skill.

 

All you really need is a 10mm shallow socket with a 3" extension (maybe) on a 3/8" ratchet, a 10mm wrench, a 36mm fan clutch removal tool and a 3/8" or 1/2" breaker bar (depending on factory or aftermarket tensioner) to remove the belt.

If it's non intercooled ('89 - early '91), you'll need an 11mm or 7/16" socket to remove the fan shroud.

Once you have all the tools necessary and within reach, it should only take you a few hours, just as Bill said.

 

It is not as bad as it looks once the rad is out things move fast

It is my understanding you do not need to remove the radiator or unbolt the fan nut. According to others that have finished the job, the fan is left in place as one piece with the fan support bracket. Then, the assembly comes out with the shroud together. The fan support bracket is held in place by four 10mm bolts. Radiator does not need to come out, just cover the front with a piece of card board for protection. This is also explained in the TST products dowel pin kit instructions as well.

That works fine, but, in my opinion, it is always easier to pull stuff out of the way. This is why I would do the KDP at the same time I would change the radiator hoses and antifreeze. Multi-task and that way everything is out of the way, especially if you run into problems. I would try to do any maintenance that is easier with the parts removed. Either way, it is a couple hour job at most and removing the fan is sometimes the hardest part. I took a small, cheap pipe wrench, ground it down until it was thin enough and the stuck a cheater pipe on it, worked like a champ. Remember that it is left handed threads. My opinion as always...Mark
