Killed my first KDP
Killed my first KDP
It was on an irrigation power unit made from a 92 Cummins. We were changing things around so it was a good time. KDP was still in the hole but tapped it in tight and staked the hole with a centerpunch. Only one bolt was good and tight. All others had oil all down the threads, not too tight. All got red Locktite. Reused the crank seal. Fast and cheap and dirty and easy.
I have read that one bolt will not come out all the way and you need a bent wrench and such. Well, we got them all out easily. Had to rotate the motor. Did I miss something? I had the photo to make sure I got all the bolts.
