KDP parts in Canada?

I want to fix my KDP and was wondering if anyone has sourced the kits or parts in Canada. I was able to find a timing cover kit from Felpro under $40 and $85 at Canadian Tire. I don't know if these parts are Cummins or aftermarket(probably). I figure I can make the tab and have the other required parts of the kit. Just don't know about quality if I go other than Cummins. Any experience north of the 49th?

Hey BCRick

Check out;

www.piersdiesel.com click on the Dodge Cummins tab and look for the performance parts area. There you will see a KDP kit for a 1st Gen.

What part of BC are you from?

Thanks DonC just what I wanted. I checked there but didn't go to performance parts. I'm at the top of the Sunshine Coast, Lund.

You can just pin it and spend money on something else. You drill a hole on the gear case tap it and drive a long enough screw until it blocks the way of the pin and off You go.

Just pinning it is tempting but I hear the stories of the other bolts in there needing attention and it seems to make sense to not have that to worry about either. The goal is no stress due to procrastination.

Well yes, You remove and locktite the other bolts but for the pin You just drill a hole in the case tap it and drive a SS screw in front of it, that way it will never fall in he gear case if it happens to move. No parts needed.

Thanks, that would make less impact on the budget.
