just want to make sure I understand this.

Pulling my injector pump tonight to rebuild it tomorrow. From everything I have read it looks like you just pull the pump and don't worry about timing during removal. Then when you reinstall it you bring the motor to TDC and install. Is this correct?

Almost. You don't need the engine at TDC. If the VE shaft slides into the gear with the keyway lined up the timing is correct.

Just line the timing mark on the pump back up with the mark on the case?

Yea or put the mark on the pump above the line on the case a little bit for more power
