Within the last year or so, my local Dodge dealer was in fact able to get me the entire trim strip above my windshield. The new trim strip (part # L534 JS8) was available only in gray, and was intended to be "universal." (It was listed as "PAR" for "paint as required" because it didn't even match the OEM charcoal interior. There were only three interior colors available in 1993 -- red, tan, and charcoal.)

The idea was to offer a universal replacement strip in one color and then supply paint for the truck owner to make the color match his/her interior. Dodge used to also sell small rattle cans of interior colors, but the paint for my interior ("spice tan") has long since been discontinued (although I did manage to procure a can from a dealer somewhere in New England who had it on his shelf).

I have not yet installed the replacement strip and am interested in the various ideas for repairing my OEM (broken) one -- those presented before this thread turned into a summary of practical jokes.

Yeah, I am with you guys. I would like to replace my entire trim strip as well if possible. I have the red interior in my truck. I would be curious to know if anyone knows of someone out there who offers something for trucks like ours.

Got the same problem. My C70 rear door card has had a chunk taken out by the previous owners dog, and a few scratches. It lets the rest of the otherwise smart interior down. Guess an alternative solution is to get a salvage panel, however as my car is a cabriolet, I suspect these will be like hen's teeth...what is did was that i drag my auto to the nearby repair shop (A Autoworks) and its pretty well done. Im recommending this place to anyone who's looking for an interior trim repair. Here's the contact info:

1319 Crosstimbers St,
Houston, TX, 77022 (Map)

$77.50/hr

Contact Haren and told him you were referred by me.
