Intercooler Hump Hose

I need to replace the lower hump hose (at intercooler) on the intercooler pipe running between the intercooler and the intake on my '92 D250. The OD is 2-1/2" and the length is about 5-1/4". I can find plenty of them running from 3-4 inches long, but nothing any longer. I'm sure a straight piece of hose would work fine, but I would prefer replacing with the same type that came off. I'm also sure someone has run across this before.

Help Please!

I bought some of the high temp charge air hoses with rings from these guys and have been happy with them.

edit: I did not see a length listed on their site for the hose you were wanting. You might have to call them.

Someone that replaced their intercooler for a bigger one should have stock hoses that were replaced. Maybe someone will hit you up.

Not a Cummins part... I called Cummins/Atlantic first. Cummins parts man said their parts basically stop at the engine. In this case the hose attaches to the intercooler on the truck thus it is a Dodge part.

try siliconeintakes.com they have a very LARGE selection, in the meantime, can you post a pic of the part your trying to match, ive got a lot of induction hoses from different conversions, i stay away from the stockers, the increased performance boost levels get the thinner ones "walking", the 4-reinforced layer hose really holds thru higher pressures. do you have a color preference?

When I first got my truck, that hose had a hole worn in it from the fender rubber. So I got a piece of heavy duty hose from napa, I think it was radiator hose, and that worked for several years! It never did fail, I just replaced it when I put the PS intercooler in.

The top one connected to the intake is OK. It's about 4" long
The bottom one connected to the intercooler has a crack in it. It's about 5-1/2" long, and it's the one I am trying to replace.

Ahineman has offered to send me his old stock ones, which I appreciate.

I did find a place that appears to have what I am looking for: http://www.dunhamrubber.com
I don't know if they sell to the public, but if Ahineman's old ones don't do the trick I will probably try to order from them.

I don't expect to do much more to my truck so I feel confident that a stock hose in good condition will be fine. Guess I've outgrown the need for unlimited horsepower.

Thanks Guys!

I'm like you.

I am putting together a "boonies" kit and I am looking for two of those hump hoses where one side is longer than the other. If you find a source, please share.

The approximate cost for the 6" hump hose from http://www.dunhamrubber.com is about $85. That's a bit over what my common sense tells me is a reasonable price for 6" of rubber hose. Thus, if I end up having to buy a replacement I believe I will go with a straight sleeve like this one: http://intakehoses.com/Merchant2/mer...egory_Code=SC4
