Aways back someone posted a link to some cool intake/charge air intercooler boot and hose site. Something like intakehose.com or the like. You need exactly 2 feet of silicone coolant hose. I'm not exactly sure on the ID, but when you find out, source the cheapest silicone coolant hose either online or locally and get 2 feet of it, cut to length, then reuse your clamps. You'll save quite a bit. Or spend $125 for PDR's hose and clamp kit. If you're lucky they'll precut it for you.

My '93 has 2-1/2" OD tubes. Let us know where you find the boots.

I've been looking a source of boots for a project I'm working on as well.

One thing comes to mind right off. Be Sure To READ the fine print where possible. It appears that there's roughly three different caliber boots to be had.

1) ~ Those that present with no definitive specs.
2) ~ Those that are labeled as three-ply, 35psig working pressure, and a temp rating in the range of up to 350*F.
3) ~ Those that present as four-ply, 80psig working pressure, and a temp rating in the range up to 500*F.

As best I can tell, the latter two suggest they're good in the typical pressures most of us run. That fine print is worrisome though.
I've just about decided to stick with those in number three as the temp issue seems to complicate the selection. While I'm not running above 40psig, I certainly don't want a hose to balloon with the high temps (I figure 200*F on a hot day under the hood never mind boost temps).

Anybody got real life info in this regard?

www.Stylinmotors.com

These guys are a site sponsor. I just ordered a 2.5'' to 2'' adapter from them, so we'll see how the transaction goes.

Edit: Quote from their site..., in response to BC847

''As our standard we make, 4PLY
All of our Silicone is 100% pure. Our silicone on its own can withstand temperatures up to +500 deg''

We are also working on the 45 degree reducing boots. We have run into some capacity issues at the plant and need to increase our production capabilities before we proceed. There have been several members on this forum that have purchased our products. As far as I know they are satisfied with the quality of our silicone products.

Members also get a 10% discount off all orders. Just place your screen name and DTR in the comments box in the checkout pages.
