Intake manifold air horn

Is there an aftermarket air horn that routes the hose to the front rather than the stock side feed? My build is unique in that I have room above the engine but tight on the driver side. I tried rotating the air horn but the four bolts are not symmetrical; the best I could do is have the two opposing corners bolt in right but for the two others I may have to notch just so the bolts can go through. I think the gasket will still keep it air tight.

Banks made one but I highly doubt you could source that piece. Also there are plenty of Cummins pieces from applications other than Dodge trucks that point different directions and are of different outlet sizes. A good engine/core junkyard maybe.

You could always build your own also.

Yeah, if the stock air horn that I rotated leaks, then I will make one by Tig welding a round lip to an aluminum plate and use a 90-deg silicone tube on top of it. It's probably easier to find mild steel parts though.

From what your describing no, nobody makes one like that.

Better off to make your own.

Ottwa yard trucks use a front facing air intake horn on the 12 valve trucks.

I think MIDon used a front facing air horn off a FL60 on his Travco motor home swap. He couldn't use the side facing air horn due to engine cover clearance.
