Installing used a/c compressor
Installing used a/c compressor
Removed my old compressor from under the 90 D350 with the oil filter and air cleaner hose removed. Had a hard time removing the manifold bolts on top of the compressor with the lower radiator hose above it.
Can the new used compressor be attached to the two manifolds with hoses above the lower radiator hose.
Then drain the radiator and remove the lower hose sliding the compressor in place from above??
The problem is being able to see the gaskets with the round plastic cylinders go in place between the top of the compressor and manifolds to bolt on.

Drained the Radiator and took off the lower radiator hose.
The hose connection to the engine was to far out to get the a/c compressor in from the top.
Had to install the compressor with the manifold attached from under the truck by myself, it was a *****.
Found that the 2 o-rings on the suction and discharge lines to the compressor manifolds were different sizes.
Two parts stores did not list the o-rings, so had to match them from their stock as close as possible.
