bought a used air compressor
bought a used air compressor for the garage... it's an older 30 gal craftsman... silly me, i didn't check the drain valve or for water in the tank until i got it home... the drain valve tee is busted off & the tank has water in it... i've removed the valve & a bunch of nasty water came out
my question, is there anything i can spray in the tank to help clean out the inside of the tank?

Go to Harbor Freight and pick up one of their brass automatic compressor drain valves for abt $12. Screw it on the bottom of the tank and run a piece of tubing up to the unloader tubing on the press switch...
Each time the comp starts or stops, it shoots out a brief jet of water and air thus purging the tank of any condensate.
Mine keeps up with the condensate even living down here in humidity-city.
