Got the first 3 injectors out without a huge amount of trouble. The last 3, well, there still in there. Anyone have a good method of getting stuck injectors out of the early first gen cummins?

 

Are you using the tool that is in the stickies? Never had a problem getting the injectors out. And when you go to put them back in then put Never Sieze on them.

I use a slide hammer.

 

We have built some small slide hammers that work.

 

I built the no welding version. It's assembled from metric allthread, a nipple, washer and lugnuts. It's in this thread with the parts list:

It works great by gently jacking out the injector and without doing any hammering.
