Injector hold down nut size

Does anyone know what the injector hold down nut size is? I need to buy a socket and i don't want to get the wrong size.

24mm deep socket. if you can find a special injector socket, you won't have to remove the fuel lines.

I bought a 24mm wrench to use on mine it was loose, so I went through my deep socket set and found that my 15/16 fit perfectly.

Watch out for the hood seam above the #6 injector. When it bites you it takes a chunk out....my hand is stilling healing

My book says that too. I went and bought both wrenches (24mm and 16mm to hold the body) before realizing that my 15/16 fit it. I think it's a match like 3/8 and 10mm or 5/16 and 8mm. Real close in size, just my socket fit better than the wrench.

there is absolutly no substitute for a 10mm wrench.

No, but a 3/8 will do in a pinch. That's all I'm trying to say. That's my point.

a 1/2" will work on a 12mm and vice versa

off topic now. i think the OP now knows what size socket to use on the injector hold down nut.

To each his own I guess. Just trying to share my experience just like everyone else. I know its a little off, but if my brother borrows my 10mm wrench, I'll try a 3/8 before going all the way to his house to get my 10. There are even some 10mm wrenches that fit tighter than others. This really is off topic though.
